Fuck if I know. This tumblr is an assortment of sporadic posts ranging from discussions of my academic interests (major in Philosophy, minor in Anthropology, and another in LGBT/Gender Studies), to personal posts, fawning over celebrity crushes like Jon Stewart, Ryan Gosling, Jason Segel, NPH, etc. Shows like Doctor Who, Sherlock, HIMYM, and others. Basically it is anyone's guess. If you are brave enough to follow me, maybe send a message or two, I will love you 5ever and bake you wonderful treats.

Love can come when you’re already who you are, when you’re filled with you. Not when you look to someone else to fill the empty space.

Surviving the World comic by Dante Shepherd. Text reads: “If it is harder and scarier for you to explain to your children why some people love each other than for you to explain to your children why some people should be treated less than equal, you’re doing it wrong.” Beside the picture, Dante stands with his three-week old baby in his arms, pretending to be lecturing it.

Let us set aside the debate about when “life” begins and instead focus on this “Choose God, Choose life”. Funny story, didn’t God kill all the first-borns of Egypt? Sounds like a child-loving deity to me. Allow the “Chosen People” to conquer and slaughter entire civilizations? Check. Destroy almost all life on Earth via a flood? Check. Turn woman to pillar of salt for looking back as he slaughters yet another entire town? Check. Allow his most loyal followers family to be butchered by Satan to prove a point? Check. The Bible sets forth so many dictates for capital punishment and what with the stoning, flooding, slaughtering, smiting, and the like I find it quite tenuous to label the Bible or even God “pro-life”. If there is a God I would like to believe they are far different then they has been portrayed.

Derrida talks of love, kinda.

Interviewer: Whatever you want to say about love...

Derrida: (With a look of confusion) About what?

Interviewer: Love.

Derrida: Love or death?

Interviewer: Love, not death. We've heard enough about death.

Derrida: Love?

Interviewer: Love

Derrida: (Shakes his head) I have nothing to say of love.
